Whitehall comms

Following a productive morning in the MU offices, with the Union’s Executive Committee in our main conference room for its monthly meeting, I drove into town for UK Music’s latest gathering of communications representatives of its member bodies. These included PPL, PRS for Music, BASCA and AIM amongst others of note.

Vincent Moss, Megan White, Ele Hill and Natalie Williams of UK Music led the meeting, which discussed diversity, research, events, politically-related activity and future plans.  I then met up with Mark Batchelor and we returned to the Oval Theatre for a drink and a relaxing catch-up.  One moment of interest was our walking past the main gates to the cricket ground just as Mick Jagger walked out to a waiting limousine.  England were playing Australia in the first one-day international in a five-match series.  Happily, England proved victorious.
