Another fine day with the Hayes clan at Lingfield Park golf course as a small but dedicated group of 13 golfers tackled the tight but entertaining layout alongside the famous racetrack.
The event, hosted by Vince, was won by Jack who scored a very credible 38 points playing off a handicap of 16. Andy Hilliard came in second with 33 points playing off a 24 handicap. Paul took the money for nearest the pin in two shots at the 3rd, whilst Des Malone took the money for the nearest to the pin on the par 3 10th. The guest prize was won by Ian Snow with 35 points.
The annual competition, which consists of all four events held during 2016, is a close run race again this year with Jack moving into the lead on 93 points. I am in second spot with 90 points, followed by Josh on 85 and Andy Hayes on 83.
The day closed with Lingfield Park kindly donating a voucher for a free fourball which was auctioned, and with the addition of a number of further items, raising an impressive sum for the Cancer Research project that Andy Hayes is raising in the name of his wife Lottie.
